Home hospitalization is undoubtedly one of the most important evolutions in healthcare. Where medically justified, patients are increasingly being treated and monitored at home. This not only aligns with the desire of many patients to recover in their familiar surroundings, close to their families, but also offers opportunities to deploy care capacity more efficiently.
In recent years, numerous innovative pilot projects have been launched. Yet, only a few initiatives have succeeded in developing into a sustainable and widely adopted practice. What is needed for home hospitalization to truly break through? Is a shared vision among all care partners the key? What role do technology, secure data exchange, and interoperability play? And how do we organize seamless collaboration between hospitals, primary care, and other healthcare providers?
During the Hospital@Home event, we will look for the success factors to realize home hospitalization not as a pilot project, but as a fully-fledged part of the healthcare of tomorrow.

The event takes place in the auditorium of 'Den Bell' in Antwerp, Francis Wellesplein 1, 2018 Antwerp.
The location is accessible by both car and public transport.
The auditorium, the foyer, and the rooms we use for the parallel sessions are all wheelchair accessible.
