Healthcare is becoming increasingly complex. Patients live longer, more often have multiple chronic conditions, and receive care from various healthcare providers, both inside and outside the hospital.
Integrated care brings all involved healthcare providers and organizations together around one common goal: providing the patient with the right care, at the right time, in the right place. By strengthening collaboration, shared responsibility, and smooth information exchange, we can improve the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of care .
With this symposium, we aim to bring together healthcare professionals from various sectors to exchange knowledge and practical experiences , inspire each other, and jointly accelerate the transition to more integrated care.

Location, reachability and accessibility
The symposium will take place in the I-mens buildings, Tramstraat 61, 9052 Zwijnaarde (Ghent).
The location is situated close to the Zwijnaarde junction, where the E17 and E40 intersect, and is therefore easily accessible by car. Ample parking is available.
Those arriving by public transport should take the train to Gent Sint-Pieters station. From there, it is 3.5 km to the I-mens buildings.
You can choose the tram. Tram T3 runs every ten minutes from Gent Sint-Pieters station to Zwijnaarde, stop Tramstraat. The stop is close to I-mens. The ride takes about fifteen minutes.
Or you can choose to cycle. You can rent a Bluebike at the station. It is a fifteen-minute ride.
